About us | where it all began
It was 1986 when he began and with each day that passed his skills for business combined with his Italian heritage and knowledge of food began to strengthen and develop. Leonardo’s devotion and dedication to his career, as well as his love of food, inspired him to begin a full-time position as a sales manager/rep for a larger imported food distributor.
In 1990, L & A Gulli was established. With the help and support of his wife, Antoinette, and his children, Domenic and Rosemary, Leonardo became a vendor purchasing a small cheese business and van, distributing ricotta and mozzarella to Northern Sydney. As the business reputation for quality products and incredible service developed, the family owned company became Gulli Food Distributors.
In 2002, Domenic Gulli Leonardo’s son, joined the business full time & from specialising solely in cheese products, the business then expanded to incorporate gourmet smallgoods, prosciutto and salami, to Italian pastas, antipasto and beverages.
In 2003, Leonardo’s youngest daughter, Carmelina, also joined the business assisting with business administration.
In 2009, after 19 years, the business moved from the Gulli family home in Kemps Creek to an industrial development in Wetherill Park where the new premises expanded to include an import and distribution sector as well as a state of the art slicing and packaging room.
Today, Gulli Food Distributors offers a wide range of Italian products and delicacies, combining experience, culture, quality gourmet products and dependable customer service, in order to deliver the finest food to your dinner table.
